Turfu (FRA)

Turfu is the collaboration between Raphaël Decoster and Matthieu Souchet. Raphaël is an accomplished musician in the traditional and folk scene, but is also interested in electronic music. And Matthieu has his background in this (as well as jazz). The name is an anagram for futur, i.e. future; they name passion, ecstasy and drunkenness as the themes of their music and like to label it "cosmic". They translate these Dionysian themes into sometimes rustic, sometimes wild melodies, combining traditional dance music with techno and handmade with digital sounds, all with just one goal: to get people dancing.
