Mathias Landtwing's long-held wish to bring his music to the stage with his own quartet has come true with the Mathias Landtwing Quartet. Having grown up in the country with brass and folk music, the musician was drawn to more urban areas. Like his life path, his music also developed in a metropolitan direction and is oriented towards the pulse of the times. In Florian Mächler, Patrick Sommer and Christian Zünd he has found three outstanding musicians who actively contribute with their ideas and skills and significantly shape the music of this quartet.
Embedded between Jazz Manouche, Swiss folk music and influences from the world music repertoire, the quartet brings a fresh and lively independence to the stage.
