Kosy is our discovery of Womex 2021 and brings together four women with different artistic backgrounds – folk, jazz, classical and avant-garde theatre – to reveal forgotten treasures of the traditional music of Lower Silesia. With shamanic drums, percussion, harmonium and violins and their four perfectly coordinated voices, they explore the multifaceted repertoire of their country. At the request of the Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Sudeckiej they have re-recorded their album Siew and released it on April 5, 2023 and can also be booked for collaborations with other symphony orchestras.
The performance at the Künstlerbörse in April 2023 was a success and they have just played at the renowned Waves Vienna Festival in Vienna. In 2024 they were guests at the great 5 Continents Festival in Martigny.
