“Momentum” applies to Gläuffig and the way they live Swiss folk music in two ways: after 15 years of band history and their last album “Gesellenwanderung”, they are now presenting their personal masterpiece. “Momentum” combines sixteen new original compositions in the border area between folk music tradition and various extensions in terms of sound, harmony, melody and rhythm. They are certainly aware of their origins and use their creativity to process and develop traditional music in a unique way. In doing so, they explore the boundaries of this music and bring new facets to light. In addition to typical Swiss elements, they also draw on the repertoire of world music as the mood takes them. The result is a rousing and surprising mixture that will captivate the audience.
